I finally have internet hooked up at my job....what a joy it is to be able to use email in my office rather than walking across the building to use the public break room computer. Now I can do things like blog.

It's been a fantastic first month of marriage. I just can't believe how wonderful it has been to be married to Candice. A phrase continues to run thru my head from my dad which states, "I don't think Daniel will really understand how lonely he was until he's been married." And it's true. We don't always like to admit feelings of loneliness when we are single--and I'm sure it can even happen in marriage--but only for so long can we suppress it. It's just such a wonderful feeling to have someone to come home to, to share life with, to encourage you, to support you. And it's totally different than when you are dating or engaged. There is always the reality of someone wanting to check out before getting married. But, when two people who have a desire to take forever seriously get married, it's just the most wonderful thing anyone could ever ask for.

I've got the best wife on earth.

I thought it was easier

so, my wife said i have to blog.

i guess i still need to communicate with others.

tough life.

but not really.

so, what does one blog about when told he has to blog?

have you ever noticed how hard it is for people to talk to each other when they are told to do so on the spot? take this wekend, for example...my wife was taking pictures for some bridal portraits. candice asked the mother of the soon-to-be bride to make conversation with the girl so as to relax her a bit, and the only thing the mom could think of was "are you cold?" and "how many days left?"....obviously, she was freezing cause she had half inch goosebumps all over her body....but it's tough when put on the spot to chit-chat for some...even when it's a family member.

as far as american idol goes.....
i cannot stand sanjaya. he needs to go.
and haley does, too.

Easier life?

So, there have been a few changes in my life over the past month (probably some of the biggest changes ever), but one that I really enjoy is that I have a wonderful wife who is very good at keeping in touch with people. She's great at emailing, blogging, phoning, facebooking, writing notes, taking pictures.....it's a very attractive quality that Candice has--and one that I so much appreciate!

We've been having some fun doing work around the house lately with some wedding money......a new leaf fan in the living room, a new fan in our bedroom, painting a few walls and furniture, a new futon, a new dvd player/burner, a new light over the sink, a new gas grill....what a fun time in life to be so blessed by such wonderful people!

Oh, and we received an ice cream maker from one of my best friends in Michigan....we already made chocolate ice cream....so good!
