My heart just gets so big and wants to explode when the day comes to finally see Candice! The countdown is now under 7 hours and I will be driving to the airport very soon! I just can't wait to see her and spend time together without using a cell phone. We have decided that after being married, we are going on a cell phone strike and staying as far away from them as possible! Have a great weekend everyone....I know I will! It's a guarantee! See you in a few minutes, my love!

Fresh air.....

It's always nice to have a day off! For the past few months, most of my days off have been spent with an amazing woman named Candice, who has been my fiance' for just over 2 months! Other days off have been spent with family. Rarely, though, do I have the chance to spend a day off at my house and doing things on a weekday morning! It was fun to make some trips to the store, pick up some supplies for the house, go to the library--mainly just get out of the routine that so becomes my life. Change can be very good and healthy! I'm so excited for the upcoming change that will take place when I am wed to my lovely fiance' and when I move to be with her in the South! Change can often be like a breath of fresh air! And really, it's not that I did a whole ton different today, but just mixed it up a bit and--wham--it's a totally different day than other days!

Only 6 more days until Candice and I are reunited! It seems to have been a long 2 1/2 weeks again, but somehow God helps us get thru it and make it another time! This may be the last time I have to fly South to see her! After this time, the next time may be a packed car trip!

Could it be a kitchen?

So I've been working on installing cabinets in my house. They are all in.....all 1o. The house feels as though it is beginning to get finished. I'll be looking at countertop tonight and attempting to get the laundry room all finished up! Tile and carpet are not too far away! At that point, the house will feel like it is ready to sell and ready for me to move to Charlotte with my bride-to-be!

Enjoy the pictures (the last 3 cabinets had not been installed yet!).

Also, our engagement pictures are up on Candice's flickr site, so you can check them out here if you'd like.

It's like 15 degrees with 2 inches on snow today. Gross.

A baby today!

So, Joel and Lisa, friends of Candice and me, are going to have a baby today! They as of yet don't know if it will be a boy or a girl, but I know they are very excited to bring this new life into the world. We're just praying it's a healthy and perfect child.

This picture was taken by Candice....if you want to see more, go here!

Painting away....

Monday after I flew back from another amazing weekend with the best fiance' in the world, Candice, my parents drove down and helped put a finish coat of paint on the kitchen and living room walls AND put a primer down on the porch walls. We not only did the painting in about 2 1/2 hours, but they had brought dinner and so we can some incentive to get the work done in a timely fashion! The house is looking great and is getting ready for kitchen cabinets to go in and then flooring and trim! It's so great to be seeing some light at the end of the fixup house tunnel--especially since there is even a bigger light after that called "marriage to Candice!"

Over the weekend, Candice and I got to see Ben and Rebekah and Brock, and Joel and Lisa (with a soon-to-be- baby). It was great and warm (which was awesome since it's below freezing here!).

Enjoy the pictures!

It's finally here

Today I FINALLY get to head south to visit my fiance', Candice! Yay! It seems like each and every time we get the opportunity to see each other it takes longer and longer for that day to get here. Well, today it's finally here. It will be such a great weekend being with Candice, as well as seeing our sister and brother-in-law, Rebekah and Ben, and baby Brock, and seeing our friends, Joel and Lisa. It's so much fun having Candice part of our family--and will be some more fun when we are finally married! The count breaks under 80 today! It is also a pleasure being a part of her family, too! The picture is of my lovely bride-to-be when she was young with her daddy!
